Alcohol, although having some disadvantages<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, comes with lots of benefits<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. Many are not able to reap from such benefits due to guilt or because of their religious affiliation. But alcohol is particularly important for your health. The key is to know your limits and to understand the right way to consume alcohol. Besides remember that excess of everything is a disease and so is alcohol.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What does the Holy Bible says about alcohol?<\/h2>\n

Firstly, the Bible does not forbids anyone from drinking alcohol and doing so is not a sin. It however warns against the consequences of heavy drinking (<\/span>Proverbs 23:29-35<\/a><\/span><\/strong>)<\/span> or drunkenness (<\/span>Ephesians 5:18<\/a><\/strong><\/span>)<\/span><\/span>. The Bible also tries to discourage anyone from taking alcohol at all if they can because not everyone can handle the effects some of which can lead to anger, murder, or immoral decisions. <\/span><\/p>\n

Warnings, consequences and effect of alochol<\/h2>\n

\u201cDo not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.\u201d\u2014Ephesians 5:18<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is not for kings, Lemuel\u2014it is not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer. For they will drink and forget what has been decreed, and deprive all the oppressed of their rights.\u201d\u2014Proverbs 31:4-5<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is better not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything to cause your brother to stumble.\u201d\u2014Romans 14:21<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWine is a mocker, and beer a brawler; whoever is led astray by them is not wise.\u201d\u2014Proverbs 20:1<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

There are many more of such scriptures but again looking at the above few mentioned, we realized that they are nothing but honest advise. Don’t take alcohol if you cannot control yourself or if you know it will cause you to make bad decisions. And never drink just for drinking sake up to the point of even getting yourself drunk.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Scriptures on the benefits of alcohol<\/h2>\n

\u201cStop drinking only water and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent ailments\u201d\u20141 Timothy 5:23<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

From this scripture we see that alcohol is very good for the health and again, it says “little”. It does not say kill yourself with alochol.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cGo then, eat your bread in happiness and drink your wine with a cheerful heart; for God has already approved your works.\u201d\u2014Ecclesiastes 9:7<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This\u00a0 reminds us that it is good to celebrate with wine and to enjoy the works of our hands. For in the book of Psalm 104:15<\/strong>, the Bible says it gladens the heart.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
