Therefore, there are different types of cancer and they are present in different parts of the body. But, each type of cancer comes with its own specific signs and symptoms.\u00a0 However, there are general signs and symptoms associated with all cancer types.\u00a0 These general signs and symptoms are similar to those associated with most other diseases. Having one or more of them does not guarantee you have cancer. However, be vigilant and quickly go for check if you suspect something is not right. Early detection may guarantee treatment and save lives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">General signs and symptoms associated with most cancer types include:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Persistent and unexplained cough, fever or night sweats<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Bloody urine, stool, vomit or coughing with blood<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Difficulties swallowing<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Feeling unease after eating<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Observed differences in your digestion pattern<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Difficulties breathing<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Persistent sore throat<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Unexplained weight loss or gain<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Muscle and\/or joint pain<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Fatigue<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Persistent lump (area of thickening under the skin) or soar that fails to heal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Unexplained bruises or bleeding<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Changes in your urination pattern<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Changes in skin pigmentation such as yellowing, redness or darkening.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #333333;\">A birth mark or mole that changes in shape, size or pigmentation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; text_font_size=&#8221;16px&#8221; text_line_height=&#8221;2em&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Are Cancer Symptoms Different for Men and Women?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">No. For cancers that affect both men and women, the symptoms are the same. However, symptoms vary when the cancer is gender specific such as ovary and breast in women or prostate and testicular cancer in men.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Cancer symptoms specific to women include:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">A lump in the breast or armpit<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Scaling in the nipple which usually extend to the areola<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Discharge from the nipple<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Ulcer on the breast or nipple (sometimes extending to the areola)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Dimpling or puckering on the breast<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Nipple changes, including the nipple turning inward, pulling to one side or changing direction<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Pain in the pelvis or abdominal area<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Vaginal discharge colored with blood<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Abnormal vaginal bleeding<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Cancer symptom specific to men include:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0Changes in the size of one or both of your testicles. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">\u00a0Your testicles feel swollen or extra heavy.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Blood in the urine or semen.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Weak or interrupted flow of urine.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Difficulties in starting urination.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Pain, or burning sensation during urination.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span>Bleeding from the penis or under the foreskin.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span>Thickening of the skin of the penis or foreskin.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span>Smelly discharge.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; text_font_size=&#8221;16px&#8221; text_line_height=&#8221;2em&#8221; hover_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; sticky_enabled=&#8221;0&#8243;]<\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">What Causes Signs and Symptoms of cancer?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Cancer cells are abnormal cells which keep dividing rapidly, uncontrollably and invading other healthy cells.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Most cancers exist as an abnormal mass of solid tissue except for certain types of blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma that are liquid in nature. Because cancer cells are continuously and rapidly dividing, they keep growing and use up most of the body&#8217;s energy supply. Consequently, symptoms such as fever, fatigue, or weight loss are observed. Also, as cancer divides, it grows into, or begin to push on nearby organs, blood vessels, and nerves. This creates pressure or obstruct the flow of substance through the body. This may results to symptoms such as pain, inflammation, difficulties swallowing\u00a0and breathing, or persistent cough.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Other symptoms may occur because the cancer cell secrete substances which either alter the way your body uses energy or trick your immune system and causes it to over react. Because cancer cells are abnormal, certain types of blood cancers or skin cancer may\u00a0 alter skin pigmentation. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.17.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; text_font_size=&#8221;16px&#8221; text_line_height=&#8221;2em&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">How to Relieve Signs and Symptoms of Cancer<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Efective management of cancer symptoms greatly improves quality of life at all stages of the disease and can determine the outcome of treatment. Some or all of the symptoms of cancer can be relieved through surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy,\u00a0 immune therapy, neurosurgery, nerve blocking agents, and pain relieving drugs or analgesics.\u00a0 Symptoms of cancer can also be relieved through a psychological approach or counselling.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\">Palliative surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy are used to relieve pain, fever, inflammation, obstruction and other symptoms caused by cancer. They do so by strinking or reducing the size of the cancer. This gets rid of any obstruction, or compression to organs and nerves.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span>Mild to severe pain, fever and inflammation caused by cancer also be relieved using medications.
