TiTaMED is a manufacturing company established in Cape Town, South Africa in 1996. We specialize in high precision engineering with exotic materials such as titanium, stainless steel, nitronic, aluminium and high performance polymers. Our international certifications allow manufacture in the specialized controlled fields of implantable medical devices (ISO13485 & Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC). In addition, aerospace and aviation manufacture (AS9100 Rev C – manufacture only, not design) and general non-specialized manufacture (ISO9001).

The TiTaMED Spinal Screw Implant System, is manufactured from the highest quality implant grade titanium. We developed the unique and internationally patented Uniaxial pedicle screw which enables new techniques to be used in posterior and anterior scoliosis correction surgery.

TiTaMED is continually researching and developing new products and manufacturing techniques to enhance our product range and manufacturing skills. We offer our certified services for OEM manufacture in the medical, aerospace and general sectors for prototyping or production.

Also, we offer supporting services in-house such as mechanical testing and laser marking to ensure reliability and traceability.
